#throwback to #2006 and a couple of hours spent at a clay pottery workshop held at the place where my wife was doing a hobby pottery course. This was my very first attempt at fashioning a likeness of Ganesha with my own hands using clay. Growing up as I did with the Ganesh festival being celebrated at home and the level of reverence for the idol, this was a significant step because this was my first physical contact with the lord. Rather it was even bigger than that because I was actually creating a idol myself. This one took all of five minutes and at this point I could see Ganesha’s form. One of the kind folks there took this picture and shared it with me. This is what made me confident, several years later that I could make an idol myself. #beginings #devotion #ganesh #ganeshchaturthi #tradition #festival #festivalsofindia #story #storiesofinstagram
