#Repost @shikharkamat ・・・ Had a great time performing for the students of SK Somaiya College at The Eminents conclave. It wasn’t long ago when I was a student struggling to get through college. Now I’m a struggling performer. And it fills me with joy, gratitude and wonder to be invited to speak and perform for some of the best and youngest minds in our country. Just the day before, we found out that my granddad had passed away. Having already committed to the show, I couldn’t cancel. And so, while my family did the last rites at a crematorium, here I stood backstage at an auditorium, my office for the day, feeling rather confused but sure of what I was meant to do. My grandfather was a beautiful soul and a generous man who valued learning and focused work. He was the eminent person of our family. I’m sure this is what he would’ve wanted me to do. I tried my best and hopefully I made him proud. Thank you Dada and Dadi for everything I am and can be, and for continuing to inspire us.
