Natural material to colour the idol too- that’s what I wanted to go with. I learnt that any paint has three parts : a pigment which is the colouring agent, a binder to get the paint to hold to the surface and a diluter. Armed with this basic know how, I set about creating my own paints. Kumkum + glue +water for red, and similarly Turmeric for the yellow, Abir for the white...
